Transparent Shoe With Hollow Food Compartment Goes Viral

Butter chicken is more than just a popular Indian dish—it is a global favourite

that many people order without a second thought. However, a viral video has taken the internet by surprise by showing butter chicken in an unexpected place. This is not a new fusion recipe or unusual food combination, but a bizarre instance involving footwear that has left viewers shocked and amused online.

Yes, you read that correctly. A woman in the US has gone viral after sharing a reel in which she uses her shoes as containers for butter chicken. The unusual clip has sparked widespread reactions online, with netizens expressing shock, amusement, and disbelief.

US Woman Stores Butter Chicken Inside Shoes

The now-viral reel shows the woman introducing what she calls her “Butter Chicken Shoes.” She opens the video by saying, “Let’s restock my butter chicken shoes,” before demonstrating the unusual concept. In the clip, she holds up a transparent plastic shoe base with a hollow compartment inside, designed to store curry instead of insoles or padding. She pours butter chicken into the cavity, reattaches the top part of the shoe, and reveals a small opening that allows the food to be scooped out easily.

In the video, the woman describes the idea as a convenient way to carry lunch on the go, explaining that she simply fills the shoes with butter chicken and seals them back up. She points out a small opening that allows the food to be eaten directly from the shoe.

The clip then shows her wearing the shoes and walking around, before sitting down and taking a spoonful of butter chicken straight from the footwear. The bizarre moment has left many viewers stunned and puzzled.

Social media users were quick to react to the unusual video, with many expressing shock and disbelief. One user commented, “As an Indian, my soul is leaving my body—we don’t bring food closer to our feet.” Another wrote, “I am traumatised,” reflecting the widespread outrage and amusement online.

Several users also questioned the lack of respect for food, with one remarking, “This is so, so bad. Don’t you think you should respect food? You are literally disrespecting the thing you are alive for.”

Other reactions ranged from sarcastic to horrified. Comments such as “Store butter naan in your pockets… total feast,” “After that I want to take out my eyes,” “Why God, why?” and “Save the butter chicken” flooded the post.

The bizarre clip has sparked a debate online over food hygiene and cultural respect, with many users urging others not to imitate the stunt.
