Before the underwater human pyramid record, the administration of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands had already created history by unfurling the world’s largest national flag underwater near the same island.
According to reports, the Tricolour used during the operation measured nearly 60 meters in length and 40 meters in width. The achievement was also reportedly recognized by Guinness World Records.
Officials say these record-breaking events are part of a larger initiative aimed at promoting the islands as a major global diving and adventure tourism destination. The recent underwater human pyramid and the earlier Tricolour feat have both received widespread praise online, with many calling them proud moments for India.
