IMD Shared Details About North India’s Harsh Monsoon Season
Recently, the meteorological service explained all the reasons and reasons for the terrible rains and all the things that are afraid of it. The interplay of seasonal monsoon and western disturbances is the main cause of heavy rainfall in many areas. Mr. Mohapatra, Director General of IMD, explained how this combination is responsible for heavy rains in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir in India. Also, July will see heavy rainfall.

Updates On This Year’s Monsoon Season:
The highest rainfall in India was recorded at 148.6 mm at the end of June. Compared to the average rate, it is actually 10% less than usual.
The intense events since the first week of July have changed all these numbers. Currently, the total rainfall is 243.2 mm. In fact, it is already 2% above the normal level of 239.1 mm.
According to data shared by IMD, northwest India recorded 59% more rainfall and central India recorded 4% increase. There are still gaps in some areas. East and North East India reported a deficit of 17%. In peninsular India there is a deficit of 23%.
