Virat Kohli has finally surpassed legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar as the international batsman with most centuries in ODI cricket. The Indian cricket team captain blocked his 50th ODI ton against a hapless New Zealand bowling attack in the 2023 Cricket World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Kohli looked in good form and managed to reach the milestone in 106 balls with the help of 8 fours and sixes. Before the match, Kohli and Sachin shared 49 centuries in a faultless innings that etched his name in the history books. It is also Kohli’s eighth fifty plus in the 2023 World Cup – the highest in a single edition of the tournament.
