Although seeing a leopard is typically a terrible experience, the atmosphere created by these viral films was very different.

Everyone is busily crossing items off their shopping lists as Diwali approaches. The holiday rush is true, complete with fairy lights and candy. However, this year’s malls were not simply packed with people; a leopard, an unexpected customer, joined the commotion. Yes, when we saw it, we looked just as shocked.
These videos created an entirely new atmosphere at that moment. Videos of the leopard rushing wildly through the mall, slipping on smooth floors, crashing into trash cans, and even becoming confused by escalators are becoming viral on social media. It appears that the jungle has formally chosen to partake in the joyous shopping frenzy.
“The leopard only desired a few fairy lights.”
A video was posted on Instagram with a commentary that made everyone laugh out loud. “It was intended to be a straightforward shopping excursion for Diwali. For his forest friends, the leopard only requested a few fairy lights, possibly a kurta, and some kaju katli. But as soon as he entered the shopping center, everybody went into full-on discount-day frenzy,” it said.
“Security officers began shouting onto walkie-talkies, kids cried ‘Mummy, cheetah!'” the caption said, describing the turmoil. (Mommy, cheetah!) — offensive, since hello — spots, not stripes! — and one uncle passed out directly on the banner advertising the Diwali sale.”
Domino’s slammed their shutters faster than a Big Billion Day checkout as the now-anxious leopard tried to soothe everyone by sitting respectfully close to the food court. Officials from the forest eventually led him out after two hours of complete turmoil and 600 Instagram stories. “Next year, I am placing my order with Blinkit,” the leopard grumbled.

Mall vs. Leopard: Round Two
A similar scene at a Gurgaon mall was seen in another video. “Leopard spotted at Gurgaon Mall, this is wild” was the caption for this one. Shoppers were responding in amazement and disbelief as the large cat rushed across the floors once more, creating confusion. One of the clearest signs that these clips were not real was the fact that some people appeared calm despite the tumultuous situation.

Indeed, it is now clear that artificial intelligence (AI) was used to create these films. A sequence where the leopard jumps from one floor to another but floats in mid-air before landing, people strolling carelessly rather than fleeing for their lives, and even people going directly toward the leopard are all utterly unrealistic in real life. Nevertheless, social media was unable to resist responding to the images because they were so funny.
The Meme Factory Starts Up
One comment read, “Woh toh Puma ka Area Sales Manager hai.” Users’ opinions were all over the place. He is the Area Sales Manager for Puma. Sales Team se milne aaya tha. arrived to meet with the sales team.
“Iska security check kisne kiya (Who did the security check of the leopard)?” inquired another in a humorous manner. “Terrible AI,” said another, “at least let guys run, not stroll into the leopard.”
Other amusing statements included “Shopping karne aya hai” (came to do shopping), “Mere samne se touch karke bhaga” (ran past me and touched me), “AI is going out of control and it is only 2025,” and “Kal unicorn bhi ayega” (a unicorn will arrive tomorrow). And we believed that the only insane shoppers were people.
