Thai Woman Stuck On Pedestrian Bridge Following GPS in Hilarious Blunder

GPS (Global Positioning System) seems to be trying to test people’s “common sense” by using its misleading instructions to lead them into ridiculous situations, doesn’t it? Although we can see this with humor, recent reports of drivers finding themselves confused in the way intended for pedestrians when they rely on GPS they heart leaves us no choice but to do this!

A Thai woman became a stranger in the show when her car stopped at the Wiang Thong Bridge, a small wooden suspension bridge 120 meters above the Yom River, connecting the two villages of Tambon Wiang Thong and Sung Men District. In a scene straight from a sleeper hit movie, the incident happened on January 28 at around 5:40 p.m. The 38-year-old driver, from Nong Muang Khai district, was on his way to visit his friend in Sung Men, navigating the unknown place relying only on his GPS which was sent by his friend.

However, he alleged that the GPS (in its wisdom) directed him to cross the Wiang Thong Bridge, a 40-year-old structure intended only for small motorbikes and pedestrians. Ignoring the limitations of the bridge, he decided to trust his digital guide without hesitation.

“I was focusing on the GPS and I wasn’t looking around. I think the bridge is strong and maybe others have used it, “The woman told Pattaya News. The car managed to go about 15 meters before disaster struck, and the left leg stuck to the space, causing the car to stop suddenly. “I was very scared because I was in the middle of the river Yom.

I was afraid that the car would fall into the river,” said the distraught driver. Fortunately, a passerby named Makun Inchan, who was about to cross the bridge, saw the car stuck and heard the driver’s screams for help. Aware of the accident, Incan immediately called the emergency services, who quickly arrived to assess the situation. A rescue operation was launched to recover the stranded vehicle without further damage.

Two tractors pulled the Honda back to safety, ensuring that the woman’s vehicle was safely removed from the dangerous position on the bridge. Similarly, this incident follows the recent news involving an SUV driver in Gudalur, a hill town in Tamil Nadu. In the “problem”, the driver, relying only on the advice of Google Maps, found himself in a confusing situation: stuck on the stairs.
