Tirupati: A guy under the influence of alcohol is said to have bitten off the head of a poisonous snake after it was assaulted, in an act that surprised and appalled the residents of Andhra Pradesh’s Chiyyavaram village in Thottambedu mandal. The man, identified as Venkatesh, was stung by a black krait, a very poisonous snake, when he was drunkenly making his way home. There, he received first aid before being transferred to SVRR Government General Hospital in Tirupati for advanced treatment.
He is currently undergoing intensive treatment and is in a serious state, according to the SVRR doctors.
According to medical professionals, the black krait is a very hazardous animal, and if its venom is not treated right away, it can be fatal. Alcohol probably hindered his response to the bite and affected his judgment. Although it may have been intuitive, biting the snake did not remove the venom that was already in his system, according to an SVRR physician.
