According to local accounts, the garland was made using ₹500 and ₹100 currency notes and is estimated to be around 100 feet long. The video has become a major talking point online, with users reacting to the extravagant display.

Confirming the incident, Superintendent of Police Sharan Gopinath Kamble stated that the garland was rented and no illegality has been found so far. The event took place on April 19 in Bamanwadi village under the Jurhara police station area of the Mewat region. During the ceremony, two grooms, Ruknuddin Meo and his nephew Ansar Meo, were seen wearing the garland. Village Sarpanch Abdul Majeed said the tradition is locally practiced and the garland was specially arranged for the occasion.
