“Unexpected Visitor Distracts Classroom”

A routine lecture at IIT Bombay took an unexpected turn when a stray dog wandered into the classroom, leaving students amused.
A short video shared on Instagram by Piyush Jaiswal captures the animal calmly moving around as classes continued, appearing completely at ease indoors. At one point, the dog is seen standing confidently on a table and surveying the room, drawing laughter rather than disruption. Sharing the clip online, Jaiswal humorously captioned that “Dogesh bhai” had finally secured a table, and the video has since delighted viewers across social media.
The video also triggered a flood of humorous reactions online. One user joked that the dog had “literally come to attend a lecture,” while another quipped that “Dogesh” had cleared JEE Advanced. Others playfully suggested that the canine was living the ultimate campus life, with one comment noting that standards at the institute had “just gone higher.”
Interestingly, such sightings are not entirely unusual at IIT Bombay. The sprawling Powai campus, surrounded by greenery and water bodies, frequently attracts stray animals and wildlife, leading to occasional encounters that capture public attention.
Nearly a year earlier, students at IIT Bombay witnessed a far more alarming encounter when a large crocodile
was spotted moving along a lakeside road within the campus. The reptile, believed to have strayed from the nearby Powai Lake, was seen resting on the road late at night, startling onlookers and prompting caution among residents.
