A 55-seater BSF (Border Security Force) cargo jet has been acquired by Virendra and Pushpendra Kushwaha, scrap dealers from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, who intend to turn it into an opulent hotel.
The Kushwaha brothers paid approximately Rs 40 lakh for the defunct aircraft, according to the widely shared post on X (previously Twitter). They intend to convert the aircraft into a four- or five-room hotel, giving guests the opportunity to feel what it is like to fly while remaining securely grounded.
Pushpendra Kushwaha told news agency ANI that he got the idea after witnessing a similar project in Haryana, when a restaurant was built inside a plane. Motivated by that breakthrough, the brothers chose to go one step further and use the former BSF aircraft to construct a five-star restaurant and hotel.
Pushpendra added that their hotel would use Operation Sindoor as inspiration for a unique concept devoted to the Indian Armed Forces. The pair wants to motivate people to respect the military more and spread a positive message.
Additionally, we took inspiration from Operation Sindoor and want to give the guests and onlookers a positive message. We will continue with the same subject because we want to raise respect for the army,” Kushwaha stated.
The news swiftly went viral on social media once it first appeared online. While some people provided pictures of other cities’ similar airplane-themed hotels, many others complimented the concept for its originality and patriotic motif.
Reactions on Social Media
Additionally, social media users poured a variety of responses into the comments section. “I guess I will finally be able to sleep on an aircraft without turbulence waking me up!” one person said. “Imagine sleeping inside a plane even without flying somewhere,” someone else wrote. Online users continue to take notice of the viral article, praising the original business concept and stating that, once finished, it would draw a lot of people.
