A rare 1926 British Indian passport has went viral on social media, providing a window into a more adventurous and exploratory time in the past. Many people are in amazement of the finding of this old passport, which is a historical treasure trove. A man revealed snippets of the rare 1926 passport in an Instagram video. The passport, which belonged to a man named Mr. Atma Singh Basant Singh, provided an intriguing glimpse into the records of that time period. On November 23, 1926, it was delivered to its owner in Bombay.
The passport contained the holder’s personal information, such as his place of birth and places of travel. Interestingly, it referred to the bearer as a “British-protected person,” which reflected the colonial status of the nation at the time. Regulations were included on the final page of the sheets, which were now yellowed with age.
