A pillion rider near Roopena Agrahara was seen attempting to avoid a traffic challan by covering his head with—wait for it—a frying pan rather than a helmet in a scene straight out of a comedy sketch. A cooking pan, indeed. A post on X stated, “Apparently, you grab cookware when life throws you a curveball.”
As the man balanced the frying pan on his head, onlookers looked shocked. One commenter in the video said, “Just another day in Bengaluru.” Others seemed to find the spectacle amusing.
The X article, however, cautioned against such shenanigans, stating that a frying pan can only flip an omelette and cannot save a person’s life. “Helmets are lifesavers, not just fashion items or viral reel props. Therefore, to all creative souls: wear a helmet and avoid the jugaad. Because your head when it hits the road is the only thing more difficult than Bengaluru traffic,” it said.
Netizens shared their thoughts on the video after it became viral on social media sites. The only place where traffic can get so bad that cookware becomes protective gear is Bengaluru. “Safety first, breakfast later” is what the man actually stated. It is the pinnacle of Indian invention on a shoestring, a user commented, “imagine the cops trying not to chuckle while writing that challan.”
Another netizen joked, “When life hands you a Challan, get a Kadai (pan).” Another user remarked, “He most likely got it from a street seller after spotting cops at the next crossroads.”
Other people advised wearing helmets for personal safety and warned against such behavior. One person said, “This man will not do this if he truly loves his family, especially his kids, and respects his own life.”
