In a recent update, the UK government announced that the visa increase will start on October 4. According to the new price system, a visitor visa for a stay of less than six months will cost 15 GBP (1,544 INR) more than when a student visa will an increase of 127 GBP (13,080 INR) for travelers from all over the world, including India.
The announcement of these changes was confirmed by the UK Home Office on Friday, through legislation passed in Parliament on Friday. This will result in the cost of a visit visa for less than six months which will be 115 GBP (11,845 INR).
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced in July an increase in visa fees and medical fees. He has said that they will also raise the fee charged to migrants coming to the UK when they apply for a visa and they will also raise what is called the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS).
All fees will increase, bringing in more than £1 billion. The housing agency has announced a 15% increase in the cost of most services and visit visas and an increase of at least 20% in the cost of primary visas, study visas and support certificates.

This fee increase affects many visa categories. It includes health and care visas, applications for registration and naturalization as a British citizen, visa fees of various durations (up to six months, two years, five and ten years), and the right to deposit fees.
