That is, this car will not only fill the furrow on the road but will also be able to fly easily in the air. Hyundai has also filed a patent for this design with the US Trademark Office.
According to Hyundai, both land vehicles and aerial vehicles have their limitations. But this concept of his solves all his problems. Not only can this concept run smoothly on the road, but it can also be easily flown in the air if needed. Hyundai is also exploring alternative fuels like hydrogen and synthetic options. However, battery and electric motor will be used in it.
Driving range and charging are the biggest problems for an electric car. But in this concept, along with the electric car, a drone is also being given In this case, if the car’s battery drains or runs out, the drone on top of the car can act as a mobile charging station for the electric vehicle. Due to which there will be no need to take the car to any other charging station. However, no information has been revealed about its battery pack or power output yet.
The most interesting advantage of this technology is also being seen as a better freight transport. A ground-based vehicle attached to a drone can be taken by air from one place to another if needed amid heavy traffic. Apart from this, this vehicle will prove to be much better in terms of security, that is, by parking the ground vehicle at one place, the drone can also be used to monitor the surrounding areas.
There will also be a big challenger for this concept vehicle from Hyundai. Because a ground-based vehicle in which the battery will be used will obviously weigh more. In such a situation, the size of the detachable drone that the company is talking about using, as shown in the patent image, is a big challenge. That is, the company will have to attach a large size drone to it so that it can easily lift the ground vehicle in the air.
As of now, the patent for the concept vehicle has just been filed and only a few details can be revealed. Hyundai has always been working on advanced and futuristic technology. Not that Hyundai is the first company to have started working on such a concept. Earlier last year, China-based XPeng had presented a similar concept to the world. This was a prototype model, in which four large drones were used on top of the car. The company had done testing of this prototype and also shared its video. This car can be easily taken-off and landed like a helicopter from one place.
