Going against social expectations, Honey Positano from Melbourne, Australia proudly accepts her 38JJ body. She refuses to give in to pressure or have breast reduction surgery just to make strangers comfortable. Her story reminds us that other people’s opinions do not decide our worth.
Meet a mother who refuses to bend to society’s expectations.

Honey Positano has talked before about the mean comments people made about her body. Those words once made her feel insecure about her breasts. She has struggled with body image since she was 12 years old. Over time, she turned that pain into strength. Now, she uses Instagram to share positive messages about loving your body and to support other women who are going through the same thing.
Strangers often assume she puts her body on “display” on purpose.

But that isn’t true at all. Some people say she shows off her body on purpose, but she says that’s not the case. Her chest is very large, and it’s not something she can easily hide. She explained, “No matter what I wear, people act like I’m trying to show my breasts.”
She also shared that in her early twenties, people made fun of her, saying her breasts looked “saggy.” But the truth is they weigh more than 5 kilograms, so because of gravity, they don’t sit high or look firm.

The mother of two explained that large breasts run in her family, and many of the women in her family have a similar body shape. Although she feels more confident now, it wasn’t always that way. Honey has also accepted that her breasts are naturally heavy and will naturally sag because of gravity when she doesn’t wear a bra.
She once considered breast reduction surgery but ultimately decided against it.

Honey shared that she once thought about getting breast reduction surgery. She said there was a time when she felt it might be easier to make her breasts smaller. She knows many women, both with smaller and larger breasts than hers, who chose to have the surgery. Most of them are happy because they feel they now have a more “normal” size. She also mentioned that many women on the Italian side of her family have the same body type as she does.
In the end, Honey started to question if the high cost and permanent scars were really worth it. She decided she didn’t want to go through the pain of surgery just to meet other people’s expectations.
When she was younger, she was also teased by her teachers.

She said, “My teachers made fun of me for wearing the normal school uniform because they said it looked ‘inappropriate.’ When I was younger, I went through different phases. At first, I tried to cover myself as much as possible. Later, I did the opposite and wore bold clothes without crossing the line.”
“Now that I’m in my thirties, I wear whatever I feel comfortable in. If that makes someone uncomfortable, that’s more about their own insecurities than it is about me.”
