Some facts about the weeks

One week has seven days because the Gregorian calendar follows a lunar cycle. Although the moon takes 29.5 days to pass its cycle, this is a difficult rate to rely on over time. The Babylonians made this circle for 28 days and divided it into four parts, with seven days each. That is why there are four weeks in a month.
In English, Saturday, Sunday and Monday are the three names of the planets considered as gods – Saturn, Sun and Moon – while other days the German gods are called or Norse. While the international flag states that the week starts on Monday, the United States flag still reads Sunday as the first day of the week.
