A woman living in Greater Noida has alleged that a large portion of her balcony ceiling suddenly collapsed late at night inside her flat. In a video that is now going viral on Instagram, she claimed the incident occurred around 2 AM, raising serious concerns about construction quality and tenant safety. According to the woman, she pays ₹28,000 per month in rent for the flat, which is reportedly valued at around ₹1 crore.
In a viral Instagram video, Sonam Singh alleged that the incident took place around 2:00 AM while she was inside her room. After hearing a loud noise, she stepped onto her balcony and found large chunks of concrete debris scattered across the floor. A resident of Greater Noida, Chi-5, she shared her account of the ordeal, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.
Sonam Singh further demonstrated in the video that the fallen concrete was extremely brittle, easily crumbling by hand, raising serious concerns over the quality of construction. She questioned how such substandard materials could be used in a flat reportedly valued at ₹1 crore, where she pays a monthly rent of ₹28,000. Expressing her frustration, she said, “Bhai, is flat ka rent ₹28,000 hai aur price ₹1 crore, aur construction mein hume kya mil raha hai.”
Continuing in the video, Sonam Singh said the incident occurred in the middle of the night. She stated that around 2 AM, while she was in her room, she suddenly heard a loud noise as something fell, which led her to rush out and discover the collapse.
Showing the damaged balcony in the video, Sonam Singh pointed to large chunks of fallen concrete and questioned the value of the property, stating that she pays ₹28,000 in rent for such conditions. She also expressed concern over her safety, noting that she often spends time on the balcony at night and could have suffered serious injuries had she been present at the time of the collapse.
