Mumbai Increases Security for Ganeshotsav 2025 With 17,000 Police, AI-Powered Surveillance, and Drone Monitoring

With more than 17,000 officers on duty and numerous technological advancements, Mumbai police have increased security as they get ready to welcome Bappa on Ganesh Chaturthi.

On August 27, Bappa will return to Mumbai, and the Mumbai Police are doing everything they can to keep him safe. Mumbai Police Tightens Security For Ganeshotsav 2025

The city police have made security their top priority as Mumbai prepares for Ganeshotsav. To control crowds and ensure security over the 10-day festival, more than 17,000 police officers have been stationed in strategic areas, in addition to AI-powered surveillance and drone monitoring.

Joint Police Commissioner (Law Order) Satyanarayan Chaudhary revealed in an interview with Free Press Journal that more than 17,000 police officers will be on duty “from Ganesh idol erection until immersion to guarantee security across the city.” There will be about 2,637 police officers, 51 ACPs, 36 DCPs, and 14,430 constables on duty throughout the city.

In addition, 11,000 CCTV cameras have been placed throughout Mumbai, drones will be used to keep an eye on big events, and artificial intelligence (AI) technology will be used to keep an eye on anyone who seems suspect during the celebrations. Special branch officers will be stationed at key locations, and quick response teams will be ready to go.

Additional Security To Be Present During Festivities

In addition to the Mumbai Police, the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) platoons 12 Company, Rapid Action Force, riot control teams, Delta combat units, and Home Guards would be in the city to provide secure and incident-free Ganeshotsav. Additionally, the troops will receive assistance from thousands of volunteers from social organizations to aid with security.

Additionally, the Mumbai Police have called on residents to assist the authorities. They have demonstrated how, with the assistance of the locals, crowd control in crowded areas can be accomplished more readily. During the celebrations, people have been advised to report any suspicious or unattended things right away.
