FDA Suspends License Of Cafe Goodluck Over Hygiene Issues
The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has temporarily suspended Cafe Goodluck’s license in Pune, according to a report published in The Economic Times. Due to hygienic concerns, an official told ET that they had taken the significant decision to close the well-known Irani cafe. A video of a Maharashtrian guy discovering a piece of glass in the cafe’s bun maska went popular online a few days ago. Aakash Jalagi, the client, used the internet to report the issue to the public health authorities. According to the ET report, FDA Joint Commissioner Suresh Annapure said that he discovered numerous unsanitary conditions at the restaurant during the inspection. Thus, pending further notice and required compliance, they have suspended Cafe Goodluck’s license. Aakash Jalagi, the client, told the Pune Times Mirror that he took his wife to FC Road for a quick date on his weekly leave. They went to Cafe Goodluck on the date and ordered tea and Bun Maska. His wife felt something hard in her mouth when she bit into the Bun Maska.
Customer Found Glass Shard In Bus Maska; Eatery Responds

His wife initially believed it to be ice. However, upon closer inspection, the pair was startled to discover a sliver of glass. If she consumed a glass fragment that was in a food item, it may have caused major inside harm. Furious, the guy confronted management and brought the issue to the attention of food safety authorities. They even made a video, shared it on social media, and outlets eventually took it up. The proprietor of Cafe Goodluck, Kasim Irani, expressed regret to the couple. “The restaurant gets its bread from an outside bakery,” he said. Although Aakash Jalagi’s bill was waived, he believed the management did not take the matter seriously.
